Helping Lost and Struggling People Find Their Path

We assist individuals with finding a job, housing, food pantries, and life skills training. Additionally, we help you get your IDs, food stamps, veteran services, and more.

Meet Our Founders

Pastor Michael and Dr. Barbara Nelson are the dream team of Standing In Faith Ministries, Inc. The couple gives praises and glory to God for their partnership!

They are passionate about outreach ministry and evangelism. Their messages are God-ordained and their testimonies are delivered on time. Pastor Michael refers to his wife as a “dynamic preacher of the Gospel.” Dr. Barbara refers to her husband as “a powerful teacher of the Gospel.” Their ministry complements each other.

In addition to being a dynamic preacher of God’s word, Dr. Barbara is a dynamic motivational speaker. Having spent more than 20 years in corporate America, she knows how to motivate individuals and teams. Both Pastor Michael and Dr. Barbara are ordained pastors by Bishop I.V. Hilliard of New Light Christian Center Church. They have generous, all-loving hearts.

Lastly, Pastor Michael and Dr. Barbara Nelson are active volunteers for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Prisons and continuously ministers to inmates far and near. Dr. Barbara upholds the motto that “having a felony will not necessarily prevent you from getting a job, but lying about the felony definitely will!”

Ministry Inspiration

Dr. Barbara thanks the Lord for the Vision of this ministry. She also dedicates this Ministry to the memory of her compassionate, consecrated and royal Mother, the late Minister Mary and her late Father Rev. Henry.

Always in Our Hearts

Psalms 23:1-6, KJV

1. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
